Hello! I am a suburban mom from Texas, former English professor, former business analyst, and current freelance writer with aspirations to become a professional genealogist and fiction writer someday. Genealogy is my primary hobby, and I just can’t get enough of it. It’s like a never-ending detective game that absolutely sucks me in every time I sit down to focus on it. Opening up windows to the past is just fascinating in a way I can’t explain, so I’m going to share it with you in hopes that you’ll understand my fascination in kind. In preparation to become a professional genealogist, I have taken courses with Boston University, and I have plans to take more courses to better understand the science of genealogical DNA. That part costs a lot of money, though, so I’m working on filling that piggy bank right now.
